Deactivating a license can come in handy if you need to authorize the MPC 2.0 software on a new computer and need to free up an authorization. The license can then be transferred to your iLok account and moved onto the new computer or iLok by logging into the iLok License Manager on the new computer. Please note: This process requires an iLok account.

Right-click on the associated license and choose Deactivate. Note: If Deactivate is unavailable, that may mean the license was initially activated without creating an iLok account (i.e. through the software's authorizer). You will need to first right click and select Take Ownership to add the license to your account before you can make the transfer. See the Take Ownership section below for complete instructions.

If you authorized your software with the software's authorizer, you may have done this without creating an iLok account. This is perfectly normal, but you'll need to "Take Ownership" of the license to apply it to an iLok account before you can transfer the license to use on multiple computers. To do this:

The MPC2 Desktop Software DAW for Mac and PC is at the core of this MPC Studio system. Expect nothing less than the iconic MPC workflows and functions that have become pillars of modern music production; precise audio sampling, lock-tight MPC groove, swing and quantize, all with professional and robust MIDI sequencing and arranging. MPC2 software can also be run as a VST Plugin in any host DAW, opening a world of sonic possibilities.

Sporting a redesigned, easy-to-use interface, MPC 2.0 represents a huge leap forward in the beat-production software category by adding a formidable set of new features. It is compatible with Mac and PC, works either alone as your main DAW or integrates seamlessly into your DAW of choice as a VST, AU, AAX plug-in.

The MPCX doubles as a controller for the MPC2.0 software.Like the Live, the MPCX runs stand-alone, differentiating it from the MPCs of recent years which were pure controllers for the MPC software. It has the same onboard processing and storage systems as its baby brother, but greatly expanded controls and audio and instrument connectivity. The MPCX doubles as a USB controller and audio/MIDI interface for the MPC2.0 DAW or plug-in using exactly the same user interface, with projects able to move between the two environments.

AKAI has, of course, previously released its MPC software, which is steadily nearing its third version. The thing is, that was always a bit of a puzzling product, as it seemed more like a direct emulation of the OS running on their hardware devices.

Can the controller be sold on with ease - if I remember correctly I had to register the serial number with an akai account online Not sure if I have to go about selling this on. Does the new buyer have to re register with their details in order to purchase the mpc software to make the controller work or can I sell the akai mpc studio black with the software. I think (not sure) you can only install the software on 3 devices & I already have it on 2 Macs Help !!! Gone are the days of simplicity. Thanks in advance.

@Korakios yes iLok Its a nightmare cos I never use the controller literally sitting there. I wil give akai a call tommorow. There must be a way around this.I still have my iLok login. These are the reasons why ipad is the way forward. Thanks for your help though. 2ff7e9595c
